Heather was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She joined the Family Law Team here at CDR shortly after being called to the bar in June of 2022. Her practice is focused on family law and child protection.
Heather graduated from Dalhousie University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Development Studies and Political Science. She then went on to complete her Law Degree at the University of New Brunswick.
While at UNB, Heather was a member of the Mental Health and Wellness Committee, as well as serving on the Law Student’s Society as Mental Health Ombudsperson. In this position, she had the opportunity to be a panellist with Former Supreme Court Justice Clement Gascon. Heather also completed an externship with the Elizabeth Fry Society where she created an information packet on Gladue Reports for members of the Indigenous community accused of a criminal offence.
In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, travelling, and skiing.
