Maeve is passionate about helping those in her community navigate crisis with care and
dignity. Her practice is focused on Family Law and Child Protection.
Maeve is originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and joined the Family Law Team here at
CDR upon her admission to the Nova Scotia Bar. She received her Bachelor of Arts in
Sociology at Saint Mary’s University in 2018 before completing her law degree with a
specialization in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law at Dalhousie University in 2022.
During the course of her time in law school, she was an active member of Dalhousie’s Pro
Bono Student Program, working on a variety of projects aimed at access to justice with
the Indigenous Blacks and Mi’kmaq Initiative (IB&MI), Immigration Services Association of
Nova Scotia (ISANS), and the Pro Bono Dalhousie Pardon Project.
In her free time, Maeve enjoys spending time with her family, crocheting, cooking, and
getting outdoors! She is also an avid volunteer with the Dartmouth Community Fridge and
Storybook Theatre, a volunteer children’s theatre company.
