Matt lives in Dartmouth with his wife, four children and his new best friend, Buddy (the dog). He is an avid sports fan. He continues to survive decades-long droughts by his beloved Chicago Bulls and 49ers by basking in the glory of the Alabama Crimson Tide. For enjoyment, he spends time with his favourite little girls, watches sports, and walks his dog. To torture himself, he goes to the golf course with a glimmer of hope.

Matt grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He attended Queen Elizabeth High School, where he played basketball, football, and slowly made his way around the track. After high school, Matt attended Acadia University, where he led the nation in shooting percentage at 100% (1 for 1). Faced with spending a winter in Alberta, Matt went to law school in Australia instead – attending Bond University, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2008.

Upon his return to Canada, Matt obtained a certificate from the National Committee for Accreditation. He then articled before being called to the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society in Nova Scotia. After three years of practicing civil litigation at a large firm in Dartmouth, Matt pursued his dream of running his own firm – striking out on his own in 2014, then opening the doors of Conrad Dillon Robinson in 2020.

Matt’s true passion is helping people that find themselves in unfortunate circumstances. Everyone deserves somebody in their corner. He considers it a privilege to be a lawyer and an honour to represent people in our justice system. He knows of no greater compliment than someone trusting him with their biggest problems.
